Nice work. There is some problems with space. Think about cropping some. Ask your self: What parts are important and what is not? What parts are taking away from your concept and what are necessary?
Maybe giving your figure a shadow could help give us a sense of space and that he is not just floating around. I mentioned to others that playing between portrait and landscape could help with your layout. Tweak your background just a bit so it matches the path of a bullet from the gun. It's almost there but just a bit skewed downward. Try playing with your letters/word. It could use a little more space and if you can, some movement. It's just a little blah when its just typed out. Something to mull over.
Try to move your character down so that he covers the white spot and bring the word down. its all good and it all works just maybe move things around and see where it looks better and just try different spots you know?
